Devoted Mobile App
The app Devoted provides daily devotionals for the Christian community and even those who are new in their faith journey. It leads users in scripture readings, guided prayers, and Christian music playlists. All features can be easily saved and shared with friends and family. A vivid gradient of colors helps influence the positive start to your morning with Devoted.
The Sketches
Sketching is an essential first step in the app design process, allowing ideas to develop quickly and organically. Early sketches help explore layouts, user flows, and interface concepts before moving into the wireframing process.
When sketching this app design, one of the main goals was to make the interface feel simple and easy to use. Working through the different experiences for new and returning users was especially helpful, since each flow needed its own layout, hierarchy, and content to best support the user.
The Wireflow
When navigating through the wireflow, one of the pillars that kept the screens organized was the dock.
In the dock included iconography for screens such as home, music recommendations, favorited scriptures, and a personal profile.
Onboarding for a new user looked different than logging in as a returning user. The wireflow begins with a daily devotional, followed by a scripture reading going deeper into the meaning behind it. A guided prayer is available after concluding the session.
