NSAC 2026
During my time on the 2025-2026 National Student Advertising Competition team, I led the team as the media planner.
I determined what content would be produced, where it would be published and streamed, and when it would be running.
I also contributed to the development of the campaign concept and branding, including co-creating the campaign name, “Your Play. My Move.” Conducted focus groups to gather audience insights, co-led marketing strategy development, and managed budgeting for campaign assets. Assisted in designing the presentation final pitch to the NFL, developed survey instruments, and created both physical and digital campaign deliverables.
The American Advertising Federation 2026 client was the National Football League. The ask was to create an overarching campaign that connected and promoted their existing Youth Health & Wellness Programs and Initatives.
Team 218 earned an impressive 2nd place out of District 5, along with Best Collaborative Q&A Session from Exhibit Concepts and Best Collaborative Presentation from The Ohlmann Group.
What is Media Planning?
Media Planning is the strategic process of identifying the most effective channels to reach a target audience, deciding when and how often to display ads, and determining how to maximize a campaign’s return on investment (ROI).
A well crafted media plan answers the “where, when, and how” of an advertising or marketing campaign.
How I divided the deliverables…
When organizing this media plan for this specific marketing campaign, the most digestible route was to split it into three categories.
1. Experiential
2. Social
3. Streaming & Broadcasting
The NFL gave us a budget of $10 million for production and $400k for video production.
